Item Description
Three sides of the sculptural small cabinet matrix host patches green botryoidal and microcrystalline Bayldonite pseudomorphs after Malachite and complementary contrasting royal-blue azurite. Bayldonite is a relatively uncommon anhydrous Pb-Cu-phosphate. The combination is known from the old extinct copper and silver mines in the area. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale. A rich, showy and highly representative combination of the species and locale. Very unusual for a SPanish specimen, or a bayldonite, as well!
