Barytocalcite w/ Pyrite (rare combo - Type Locality)

Barytocalcite is rare barium-rich calcite and this historic old Alston Moor mine is the Type Locality. This is a sculptural, fine minature of graduated in size, glassy, tan, parallel-growth blades. The field of tiny, sparkly pyrite crystals in the front is a VERY RARE association. This excellent old-timer is from an East Coast collection with the label having an October 2, 1920 collecting date! Very rarely available today.
