Barytocalcite (rare old classic)

Item Description

Barytocalcite is uncommon barium, calcium carbonate. This historic, old-time specimen is comprised of lustrous and translucent, tan barytocalcite blades filling a shapely vug in massive barytocalcite. This rich specimen is from the Type Locality area of the Alston Moor District of England. This old-timer is from a museum collection, where it was on display.
