Baryte with phantoms

Stunning sharp color-zoned phantoms in all of the many robust, water-clear, lustrous, tabular, golden-yellow baryte crystals dramatically and aesthetically scattered on the sculptural, small cabinet, fine-grained sandstone matrix. The impressive upright crystal is 3.8 cm on the diagonal and the large flat-lying crystal is 3.1 x 2.9 cm. Very nearly pristine, with all of the many crystals. A bruise is noted to the edge of the large upright prism. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. An outstanding and very uncommon baryte with sharp phantoms from the locality from 2005 to 2006 finds, now considered to be mined out. Matrix specimens of this variety, richness and quality are rare.
