Item Description

An outstanding and most sculptural 360-degree combination from this ancient polymetallic mining district. Three dramatically intergrown, stout, very glassy, translucent, beige barite spearpoints look like flower petals attached to the fibrous "stalk" of lustrous metallic stibnite prisms. The impressive large spearpoint is 6.5 cm and the three blades are pristine. From an East Coast Collection and formerly in the the Robert Hesse Collection, a prominent Philadelphia collector, who passed away in 1984. The former dealer label from Larry Conklin has a $1250 price (1990s) for superb aesthetics and high quality.
