Gem colorless fluorite cubes, to 4 mm, with satin luster faces and charcoal-gray manganese oxides are richly and preferentially draped on the sculptural parallel-growth barite blades on both sides of this very showy old-time combination from this historic poly-metallic baryte-fluorite mine, opened in 1726 and still active. Comes with an older label in German. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. Fluorite, barite and manganese oxide combinations of this quality are uncommon and this is an excellent example.
