Item Description
Intergrown floral-like clusters of classic barite "roses" from Cleveland County, Oklahoma, near Oklahoma City and Norman. This large sculptural elongated cluster was formed in the Permian-aged Garber Sandstone. Oxidized sand grains are included in the barite crystal structure with colorful effect. Trivial bruising and/or attachments are typical for such large pieces and are certainly only a modest detraction. Choice and aesthetic large 360-degree material. These are the Oklahoma State Rock.
