Baryte on Quartz

Item Description

A stunning, stout, 3.9 x 3.9 x 1.3 cm on edge, water-clear to translucent, colorless to milky white, zoned baryte crystal is dramatically set in a striking dense forest of gem quartz points, to about 5.0 cm long. The smaller baryte on one side is 3.3 cm across and is pristine. The trivial edge wear to the large baryte is certainly a minimal detraction to this outstanding combination. In great shape overall, with only a few smaller hard-to-see bruised quartz crystals in the interior, for all the crystal density. This is an entrancing 360-degree specimen from the locale.
