Item Description

An outstanding and dramatic 360-degree barite on fluorite combination from the famous Minerva Mine. A fantastic, stout, parallel-growth, 4.5 cm, sharp spearpoint crystal dramatically dominates the dense covering of smaller pearlescent, glassy, translucent barite blades. Complete all-around and pristine, the barites rest on a contrasting crust of golden-yellow fluorite. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 1661. Older material calculated from the 1960s. A superb and rare quality example of barite on fluorite from the Minerva. Fairly valued at $950 and worth it for this exceptional old combination.
