Baryte on Fluorite

A classic example of these distinctive combos from the Xiefang Mine in China featuring many very sharp, gemmy, lustrous, rich golden colored Baryte crystals measuring up to 1.2 cm across, sitting atop a group of gemmy, soft green colored cubic Fluorites. The contrast of the two species, both in their color and crystal habits makes for a striking specimen, that is singular in the mineral world, as no other mine has produced specimens that look quite like this. For two common minerals, you have something that is unique and beautiful in these specimens, and they haven't been found in several years at this point, so if you missed out on them when they first hit the market, this is a great chance to pick up a fine example for your collection.
