Baryte on Bethel Sandstone (Lillie Coll.)

Item Description

An uncommon matrix is a focal point of this striking and excellent, two-sided baryte rib. The matrix is Mississippian-aged Bethel Sandstone. Nifty arborescent crystal clusters cover much of the crest and and single crystals with chisel termination cover the rest of this very rich and uncommon specimen. Self-collected by Ross Lillie in July, 1981 in advance mining and considered by Ross to be an excellent locality piece. # 0436 in his collection.
