Item Description

Baryte specimens are very uncommon from the historic mines at Pribram. This is a RARE and rare from this mine 1800s specimen. Glassy, translucent prisms, to 3.2 cm, are aesthetically intergrown in jackstraw fashion. The blades have a preferential coating of tiny oxide-coated calcite rhombs, adding character. Choice and rare material from the collection of Josef Vajdak, a noted Czech specialist.
