Item Description
Opposing parallel-growth and stellate clusters of gray oxide-tinted pearlescent barite blades form a very artistic sculptural large old-time specimen from this extinct silver-polymetallic-barite mine in Cumbria. The blades reach up to 5.0 cm. The bit of noted bruising is certainly acceptable in the context of this old-timer. From a 19th century Zurich collection and comes with two old labels, including one from H.C. Hermes. A fine old classic from the locale.
