Item Description

Striking enechelon arched radial aggregates of multi-hued baryte are dramatically capped by by iridescent, sparkly marcasite microcrystals. Certainly a fascinating sculptural form on this polished slab from this well-known Polish copper mine. Densely banded cream-colored baryte gives way to majestic arched bands of variable brown and cream-colored baryte. The brilliant metallic iridescent marcasite crystalline crust adds even more character to this impressive slab. Most such slabs seen from here are circular, cut from nodules or stalactites. Ghostly white fluorescence. The amazing radial aggregates resemble cauliflower heads. Dramatically unusual and remarkable. (polished section)
