Item Description

Water-clear, very glassy, light amber, tabular baryte blades are dramatically clustered jackstraw-style on this rich and impressive large plate from the Hellhole Pocket of this well-known Nevada mine. The crystals reach 2.2 cm on edge. The preferential sprinkling of tiny sparkly drusy calcite rhombs is a nifty accent. Pristine. Rare and excellent material from an obscure pocket find from the Madrid Collection. The piece displays beautifully from two directions.
