Item Description
Radiating fans of lovely light green hued, malachite-included and colorless, tabular baryte crystals with textbook chisel terminations form a sculptural small cabinet from a small zone of rare 1990s finds by miners from the well-known open pit Shangulowe copper mine. The glassy and lustrous crystals are translucent to transparent and reach about 2.6 cm. The bit of embedded gossan matrix is a nice contrast and accessory. The piece has a couple of excellent display views, which strongly minimize the two attachment points. Nearly all of the many prisms are pristine, except for near the attachments. Valued at $1000. Seldom seen for sale anymore. Colorful and attractive. These are super rare on today's market and should value at between 1000-2000.
