Item Description

This adorable miniature features a striking, gem, colorless, doubly terminated tabular barite crystal with spearpoint terminations dramatically accented with a smaller perpendicular spearpoint. This less well-known Zambian copper and cobalt mine has produced outstanding libethenite specimens. However, barite specimens are rare. Complete all-around and pristine, the small attachment is on the back side of the large barite. A superlative and rare barite from this locale from the collection of Heini Soltau, a noted Southern Africa collector.
