Item Description
SUPERB example of these well-known Baryte with Marcasite specimens from a 2011 find at the Lubin copper mine in western Poland. The cutting and polishing of these Baryte nodules reveals the multi-generational growth of the Baryte, changing betweeen various shades of tan and brown. The lighter Baryte also has a soft, lemony custard color to it when it fluoresces. Look close, and you will marvel at the incredibly intricate and detailed growth patterns within the Baryte. The color is saturated. The Baryte is partly coated with sparkly Marcasite crystals, and the combination creates a fabulous aesthetic. This is one of my favorite of these specimens that I have seen from here, and they are almost singular within the Baryte world. Among many, a particularly bright specimen.
