Item Description
Going back to the early 2000s, we started seeing these fine quality and well-crystallized Baryte specimens from the now well-known Cerro Warihuyn locality in Peru. This piece is a beautiful and aesthetic display specimen of these classic Barytes featuring sharp, lustrous, gemmy, tabular bladed crystals of a beautiful soft golden color measuring up to 2.1 cm, free of matrix. The three main Baryte crystals are in good shape, though there is a contacted edge on the left side of the main crystal. I love the balance and three-dimensional appeal of the specimen as it displays wonderfully as you can see from the photos. These pieces are now hard to find on the market, and certainly worth picking up if you collect Barytes, Peruvian minerals or miniature sized display pieces.
