Aesthetically and richly intergrown, glassy, translucent, tan, tabular baryte crystals, to 3.0 cm, form a very rich and showy mounded 360-degree specimen from this well-known locale. Complete all-around and in great shape. All of the many crystals in the interior appear to be pristine and the modest basal periphery wear is certainly a negligible detraction. This fine piece is from old finds in the 1960s or 70s in what is now an area of urban Los Angeles' sprawl! This is a superb example in great condition and with thick crystals! Bonus: Ghostly white SW UV fluorescence. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum - and we do know that he collected these himself. This Los Angeles County locale is well-known for excellent baryte specimens and this is really good one. It displays well from several angles without aid.
