Glassy, sharp, water-clear to translucent, pretty variable yellow barite spearpoints dramatically and richly cover the curved 3-dimensional matrix plate on this excellent and classic specimen from this famous mine. The stout central spearpoint in the front is 4.3 cm tall and the striking doubly terminated, nearly pristine crystal on the edge is 5.5 cm long. This fine and sculptural piece has striking 360-degree presence. All of the crystals in the interior are pristine. Choice barite from the Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $600 more than seven years ago. It is worth more today.
