Exceptional and huge, this cluster of of gemmy to translucent Barytes is from the famous mining area of Baia Sprie in Romania. The Barytes range from golden-yellow to clear-gray, and the zoning is striking. The large crystal, which spans the entire piece, is actually a large, complex, DOUBLY-TERMINATED single crystal, which is amazing. As you can see in the photo, one piece is missing from along the side of this large crystal, but it is what I would consider the back as you display it. This is clearly one of the best, and most aesthetic, Barytes that I have seen from there. In person it has a presence hard to capture in photos. Valued $2000
