A lovely 3.8 cm corsage of rich amber, gemmy and lustrous parallel-growth, tabular baryte crystals is aesthetically set on the sculptural contrasting matrix of pink dolomite crystals. The large gem crystal on the left is 1.6 cm on edge. The two, opposing, perpendicular barytes on the lower front are a very artistic complement. Nearly pristine with only a hard-to-see bruise to a crystal on the top. The piece displays well without aid. A showy and excellent small cabinet from the mid-2000s finds at this well-known Peru locality. Common for a while, specimens of this quality and size are seldom available today. Very little has come out since and the locality may be exhausted. Classic and adorable baryte and dolomite combination from the locale. A sharp specimen from a major collection built in California at the time these came out.
