Item Description
A wonderful, old-time Baryte specimen from Cumbria (Cumberland) featuring a thick, tabular, colorless, gemmy/translucent crystal with a multi-stepped termination, free of matrix from the Silverband Mine. The piece is in very good condition, with no major damage, save the base where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. These wonderful old Barytes are truly iconic in the mineral collecting world, and every good English or Baryte suite should have a nice Silverband Mine specimen in it.
