Item Description
A big showy example of the famous Meikle Mine Barytes featuring fairly thick, sharp, lustrous, beautiful golden colored crystals measuring up to 8.1 cm, sitting on compressed rhombic silvery-grey Calcite matrix. Portions of the crystals show good internal gemminess when backlit. Very good quality all around, I can see a few tiny imperfection, but the piece is in great shape overall. Classic material and hard to photograph/video, and it's better in person. These are some of the best golden Baryte specimens from any locality in North America, and certainly much harder to find on the market than they were 20 years ago. Valued at $3,000.
