Item Description
An impressive, 3.3 cm, very glassy and lustrous, gemmy to translucent, grayish-blue, tabular barite crystal dominates this very rich and showy jackstraw small cabinet field of smaller barite blades from the historic old Baia Sprie Mine. This is a classic and desirable color of barite from the locale and is an excellent, sculptural and aesthetic two-sided example. All of the myriad of crystals in the interior are pristine. Formerly in the Robert Lambert Collection. Ex Taylor Hunt Collection.
