A 2.8 cm sparkly snow-white bladed barite ball or "pompon" is aesthetically set on matrix peppered with tiny gemmy rubyjack sphalerite crystals on this elegant and classic combination specimen from this historic and ancient lead-zinc district first worked by the Romans. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12121. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
