Item Description
An impressive, stout, 7.0 cm, doubly terminated barite crystal with textbook chisel terminations (2 on one end!) dominates this aesthetic and sculptural small cabinet specimen from this classic locale in Sardinia. The golden-amber crystals are very glassy and gemmy to translucent. The very sharp, stout, spearpoint secondary barite crystal, 5.3 cm long has interesting preferential overgrowths or inclusions on the back of some crystal faces. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only trivial bruising. Classic and very choice 360-degree Silius barite. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Many Silius barites fluoresce ghostly white. Interestingly, this one does not.
