Item Description

A dynamite cluster of translucent, straw-yellow barite blades is highlighted by the fantastic crossed pair of blades. The cluster is 4.5 cm across and the large blade is 2.0 cm on edge. The barites aesthetically sit astride the top the mounded vuggy limestone matrix festooned with scintillating tiny gem colorless calcite crystals. Ex Ted Bartels Collection and acquired from Ross Lillie of North Star Minerals (collected in June, 1994). This very fine two-sided piece displays beautifully without aid from either side. An adorable Denton Mine barite and calcite combination.
