Baryte (1960s California!) fluorescent

A fine, rich and large Los Angeles County classic from 1960s finds from an East Coast collection. Striking dense jackstraw clusters very glassy colorless to tan, parallel-growth barite blades form an impressive large mounded plate of solid barite. The blades reach 2.9 cm. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with very few broken crystals in the interior and on the periphery. Amazing, for a densely configured piece. Modest white fluorescence.
