Item Description

This is a dazzling, small-cabinet specimen from a very significant and celebrated (as covered in the Min Rec) 1970's find at the Rosh Pinah Mine in Namibia. GEMMY, golden, lustrous bladed crystals of Baryte in beautiful "books" fan across the piece from edge to edge, with the largest crystals reaching about 1.1 cm across. Uncommon to begin with, specimens are EXCEEDINGLY rare on the market and hard to find now in any quality. This is literally like sparkling glass, about the best luster we have seen on them. It seems to be two generations, one more sparkly and overtopping the other.
