Item Description
Gemmy and lustrous, golden-yellow, tabular baryte crystals are attractively festooned on the large sculptural matrix. The large doubly terminated crystal on the upper right is 3.8 cm on the diagonal. In great shape, overall, with only three bruised crystals noted in the interior, for all the crystal density. The 1997-2000 finds at this well-known gold mine established the Meikle Mine as one of the world's great baryte localities. See the 1999 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 30, No. 3.
