Item Description
Barrerite is one of the rarest Zeolite Group species and is related to stilbite. Some of the very finest examples of the species come from this Alaska island and this is an outstanding and aesthetic small cabinet. Two generations are festooned on the sculptural matrix plate, with the smaller crystals having most of the coverage. A dramatically placed, 3.2 cm pearlescent, doubly terminated blade is the highlight of this excellent specimen. This is a very large crystal for the species and locale. A must for the zeolite or locality collector. These came out in the mid 1990s and I have not seen them since.
