Well-crystallized barite is uncommon from the famous San Francisco Mine, known for world-class wulfenite and mimetite specimens. This showy piece is highlighted by a crowning, dense cluster of snow-white, platy barite blades. Tabular yellow wulfenite crystals and sparkly, yellow mimetite microcrystals with the gossan matrix are a colorful compliment to the stark white barite blades. Excellent and rare combination material from the 1970s finds from this famous mine from the Jaime Bird Collection.
