Item Description

The Milpillas Mine is well known for its Azurite and Malachite specimen, but Barites were considered fairly rare from this world-famous locale. This attractive thumbnail specimen hosts lustrous, razor-sharp, gemmy, glassy blades, to about 3 mm, some of which are included with beautiful green Malachite to create a lovely two-tone effect. There is a small amount of matrix on the back of the piece. A striking and uncommon Milpillas specimen and a great pickup for anybody who collects thumbnails, Mexican minerals or worldwide Barites. This locality is finished in terms of specimen production, so don't miss out on picking up anything from Milpillas that you can while they're still available on the market.
