Barite with Malachite inclusions

When compared to the fairly abundant Azurite and Malachite specimens from this now famous Mexican locale, Barite is fairly rare. This attractive thumbnail specimen hosts gemmy, glassy blades, to about 3 mm, with some beautifully included with green Malachite to create a lovely two-tone effect. There is a small amount of matrix on the back of the piece. A striking and uncommon Milpillas specimen and a great pickup for anybody who collects thumbnails, Mexican minerals or worldwide Barites.
