Barite with Goethite coating

Item Description

An unusual specimen unlike any I have had before from here: Black goethite covers parallel growth, bladed crystals of barite, to 4 cm in length. The barite crystals are white and lustrous underneath but the goethite covers most of them - this contrast really makes this an unusual specimen. It is actually complete on both sides, and really elegant in person, more than you might think for a "black" specimen.
