Item Description

Attractive, nearly colorless, bladed gemmy crystals of Barite in/on a sparkling forest green vug of Brochantite from the classic locality at Morenci. The matrix hosts small veinlets of royal blue Azurite as well. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurite and Malachite combinations from any locality in the world. but god Barites are NOT easy to find. This piece was personally collected by Harold Urish on November 4th, 1995 while on a trip with the Tucson Mineral Club. This attractive display specimen is in great shape overall, and how often do you get a chance to buy a matrix Barite from Morenci ?
