Pallaflat Iron Mine specimens are an English classic. Famous for calcite and barite specimens, this mine closed in 1914. Very glassy, tabular, pretty pastel-green barite crystals in a striking jackstraw pattern cover the hematite and gossan matrix plate on this very fine large example. A couple of calcite scalenohedrons scattered about are a classic accent. A bit of bruising and periphery wear are noted, but have minimal impact to the overall quality of this classic combination.
