Item Description

Mineral specimens from this less well-known group of County Durham barite mines are very uncommon. Striking, opposing, parallel-growth clusters of very glassy, transparent, colorless barite blades form an impressive and rare English barite. In very fine condition, with only two broken blades in the interior. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
