Barite (uncommon locale)

Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY variety are rare from this less well-known open pit Zambia copper and cobalt mine. Barite is EXTREMELY RARE. Transparent, very glassy, sharply terminated, parallel-growth, tabular crystals form this showy and excellent specimen. Some periphery wear is noted, but is certainly acceptable in the context of this extreme rarity.
