Barite (uncommon locale)

Item Description

Barite specimens from this obscure Zacatecas mine are seldom on the market, especially in this form and high quality. A very sharp, blocky, doubly terminated crystal is nicely accented with interpenetrating smaller crystals. The lustrous and translucent, off-white crystals are preferentially included with oxides, giving striking color zonation. The large crystal is complete all-around pristine. The attachment is on the secondary crystal.
