Barite, Sphalerite & Dolomite (excellent)

A beautifully balanced and sculptural barite, sphalerite and dolomite specimen from the Elmwood Mine. The 5.0 cm, bladed, barite "ball" is well perched and strikingly accented by the lustrous, rubyjack sphalerite crystal clusters (with gemmy highlights when backlit). The matrix wedge is covered with uncommon, lustrous, dolomite rhombs. A bit of bruising to both the barite and sphalerites are noted, but have negligible impact on the outstanding, multiple display views of the this very fine and uncommon combination piece. Valued at $500-700.
