Item Description

The locality at Stoneham has produced some of the most attractive blue Barites from anywhere in the United States. Rarely does one encounter faceted gems from this locality, and this set hosts a 1.35 carat "Rectangle" cut, powder blue color gemstone with nearly eye clean clarity. You don't see a lot of these gems on the market, simply because the crystals are not thick enough or gemmy enough to prodcue the stones. The specimen in this rough and cut set is a layered, sharp, lustrous, gemmy silvery-blue color crystal group with virtually no damage. Both pieces are equally attractive and important for what they are. A cool rarity / oddity for any collector of hard to find gems or rough and cuts.
