Barite (rare locality specimen)

Item Description

A hard to find specimen of crystallized Barite from Emerson, Georgia featuring sharp, fairly thick, bladed, white (iron coated) crystals measuring up to 5.7 cm long. There are clearly some broken crystals on this specimen, but it's certainly the largest specimen we've ever had to offer from the locality, and the crystals are several times larger than anything we've seen as well. If you collect minerals of the United States or even more specifically minerals of the southern United States, this is a rare opportunity to pick up a decent display specimen of this seldom seen material.
