Item Description
Somewhat thick, bladed Barite crystals of a silvery-golden color measure up to 1.7 cm on this attractive display specimen from the Dee Mine. The crystals are well-formed, sharp and some of them are actually fairly gemmy. You don't see a lot of these on the market anymore. Most Barite crystals are not transparent, let alone sharp, lustrous AND transparent, so don't miss out on this one, as it's the only piece we have to offer from this locality for now. Some contacts here and there keep it from being 100% perfect, hence the auction listing, but if you collect US minerals, Nevada minerals or worldwide Barites, this is one to consider.
