Barite (rare)

Item Description

Baryte is rare from the famous N'Chwaning mines, especially in sharp, well-formed, single crystals such as this. The tabular crystal has multiple terminations and a nifty side car crystal. Highly lustrous and translucent, the faces are frosted. Interestingly, one edge is not frosted and reveals a glassy, near colorless interior. Complete all-around and in great shape. The side car has a broken tip and one edge is gently bruised. Rare and excellent baryte.
