Golden barites from Pohla set the world standard and this is a fine and rich large plate. Gorgeous, gemmy, golden-amber crystals to 2.3 cm are richly and attractively scattered on the quartz matrix. The crystals have textbook chisel terminations. The crystals in the interior are in great shape, with just a couple of gently bruised tips, which is certainly a modest detraction in the context of this excellent piece.
