Barite, Orpiment & Realgar

Item Description

Glassy, transparent to translucent, tabular, barite crystals to 1.5 cm on edge are aesthetically and richly scattered on both sides of the colorful and dramatic two-sided rib with sparkly, rich burnt-orange, nubby, orpiment botryoids from a recent Peruvian find. One side also hosts a few gemmy, blood-red, realgar prisms to 9 mm. A trivial bit of bruising and periphery wear are noted, but this remains a very fine and rich example of the combintion species and noted locale.
