Item Description

A fine quality and rarely seen cabinet display specimen of Barite on Sphalerite from the famous Les Farges Mine in France. This locality is best known for it's world-class Pyromorphite specimens, and pieces like this are certainly hard to find. Pearly white "rosettes" of sharp, lustrous, Barite sit atop ruby jack reddish-brown sparkling crystals of Sphalerite on matrix. Very good quality with only a little bit of roughness here and there. From the collection of Gene Sensel, with a label from John Betts. If you collect European classics, or good display quality specimens of pieces from well-known localities, don't miss out on this one.
